Our Story
Honeybee Films began in 2020 during a season when I (Jonathan Lue) was unemployed, depressed & searching for purpose. Stories became a lifeline, and I realized I wanted to create work that could offer the same hope to others. Now, just a few years later, we get to do exactly just that because of that dream!
Here’s a glimpse into the journey that led us here:
2020
Jonathan started learning video by creating videos about dumplings!
2021
Began creating educational content for an optometry center; grossing over 1.5 million views!
2023
Moved to Portland, Oregon to produce a documentary about Hapa Pizza called Kneading Love.
2024
Our first brand story campaign was produced for Urban Gleaners.
2025
We produced our first commercial for Downtown Portland!
